The mission of Celestial Psychology® Enterprises is to promote the evolution of the individual and of mankind by utilizing the consciousness-raising principles of Celestial Psychology®. These principles focus on the integration of the body, mind and spirit, thereby ensuring good mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health, for generations to come.

Social Venture and Product/Service

 Celestial Psychology® Enterprises (CPE) is already well on its way to being a successful company. It is being positioned as the umbrella company to these already successful businesses formed by Celeste Emelia Mattingly, LCSW, (see Appendix J-1);

  • Psychotherapy Healing Services (PHS), LLC, private practice for adults with addictions and general mental health issues.
  • Celeste Emelia’s School of Consciousness Raising (CESCR),  hosts classes, workshops (some available for Continuing Education Credits approved by NASW/CT) developed by Celeste and some of her colleagues.
  • The Center for Holistic Empowerment (TCHE) hosts events to bring spirituality to the local community.

 When the theory of Celestial Psychology® (CP) was introduced into PHS, there was an exhilarating expansion of services, which evolved into the creation of TCHE and CESCR! This expansion demonstrated a growing need for the services of CPE, and confirms the logic of bringing these three businesses together under the umbrella of CPE. All marketing and promotional materials for these three companies will go through CPE.

 The natural next step for the work of CPE will be to bring CP to a national and international level. PHS, TCHE and CESCR were created to serve the local population; CPE is looking to take CP to the next level. Currently, CPE works on a local basis with customers in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. With funding and the means to create promotional materials for CP, we will be able to expand our reach well beyond the state of Connecticut. From our recent venture into social media we can see that there is interest and a need for the information we have.

 CPE plans to create and market DVDs, e-books, pamphlets, podcasts and have a book published within the next 5 years.

For the theory of Celestial Psychology®

As a theory of psychology, Celestial Psychology® (CP) has a competitive edge over other theories of psychology that have developed over the last two or three decades for the following reasons:

  1. The name Celestial Psychology® is not only memorable and extremely suitable to the content, it is also officially trademarked with the US Patent and Trademark office. The process was begun in May of 2008 and in August of 2010, it was officially issued. The official trademark serial number is SN: 77479914.
  2. Celestial Psychology® transcends the Transpersonal Psychology movement because it provides coherence, specific approaches, efficacious practices, and true definition. It is noted that lack of coherence, lack of specific approaches, practices and definition are considered to be criticisms of the Transpersonal Movement. The first three schools of psychology: psychoanalysis, behaviorism, and humanistic psychology basically denied the existence of soul or spirit. Transpersonal psychologists provide a framework that incorporates spirituality into the academic discipline of psychology. Thus, some consider Transpersonal the ‘fourth wave’ or school of psychology, while others yet are struggling to brand their own approaches.
  3. The creation of CP has lead to the inevitable creation of a new ‘fifth-wave’ of psychology- Conscious Evolution Psychology. The criteria are outlined in the newly released workbook and CP is the primary determing criteria for qualification. It is likely this fifth wave will be psychology’s final wave as we evolve into our Homo luminous, celestial beings.

CP also has the competitive edge over other Transpersonal Theories because of               timing. New Age practices such as combining Eastern spiritual traditions with Western         psychology and incorporating energy medicine modalities, like Reiki into hospital    settings, are more mainstream than they were when the Transpersonal movement       began in the late 60s.

  1. The Social Work perspective, treating the whole person- body, mind and spirit- truly makes social work a most viable discipline for incorporating holistic practices and energy medicine modalities. This provides a competitive edge to other theoretical developments.
  2. The 12-Step perspective provides a competitive edge because it is widespread and proven to have very transformative and often miraculously visible, measurable results.  It appears to be nearly impossible to develop a framework for spirituality as a psychological healing modality that doesn’t incorporate this highly specific and remarkably proven transformative model in some way.
  3. The incorporation of evolutionary ideologies with consciousness-raising ideologies, philosophy and language into the principles of Celestial Psychology® provides a highly competitive edge. This evolution of ideologies is evidenced by the growing interest in authors such as Ken Wilber, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Eckhart Tolle, Neale Donald Walsh, Greg Braden, Lynne McTaggart and many others.
  4. In this area of Connecticut there are many holistic practitioners that are providing holistic services and energy medicine practices that are only certified in their specific modalities. Very few licensed practitioners have ventured out into the study of and promotion of spirituality as having a valid psychological impact. Many admit they have held back in order to remain socially acceptable and/or respected; for fear of being seen as too “out there”. So far, for CP this has been a competitive advantage.

Marketing Plan

Celestial Psychology® Enterprises’ target market includes adults who are interested in improving their quality-of-life. Our current demographic is people who seek out mental health services, addiction services, spiritual empowerment and consciousness-raising practices.

  1. Continue to develop customer base with testimonials and referrals from existing businesses: Psychotherapy Healing Services, LLC, Celeste Emelia’s School of Consciousness-Raising and The Center for Holistic Empowerment with the Constant Contact E-Newsletter (currently up to 450 recipients).
  2. Continue to maximize the use of Social Media with:
  • Facebook – currently at 152 biz page members and 724 friends 
  • Twitter – currently at 376 followers
  • LinkedIn – 500 (+) connections
  • Blogging – on the Celestial Psychology® blog and guest blogging for others
  • E-Newsletter

3.   Develop, distribute and promote product line(s).

Product #1 – “7 Days to Your Luminous Self” (see Appendix J-4)

  • PDF file is the free gift that those who are interested can download for supporting CP.
  • DVDs (project halted) will be produced and sold at events, holistic health fairs, on Craigslist, eBay and on consignment in various local bookstores and metaphysical shops.

Other product lines will be developed to accompany each level of CP class.

Financial Plan

Within 6 months

  1. Continue to allocate monies to fund Celestial Psychology® Enterprises from Psychotherapy Healing Services, LLC while CPE becomes the parent company and an official business (see Operations Plan below). Currently, this fund flow is justified as marketing and promotion for existing talk therapy services, at PHS, consciousness-raising classes, lectures and workshops at CESCR and various holistic and business events hosted at TCHE.
  2. Continue researching funding sources to upgrade product development.

  1. Begin approaching funding sources with specifics related to each product, i.e., with prototypes and production companies already lined up.   
  2. Begin producing professional grade products which decrease the reliance for CPE’s funding from PHS.

 1 year to 5 years

  1. CPE will make contributions from its profits to the United Way, National Alliance for Mental Health (NAMI) and Connecticut Community for Addictions Recovery (CCAR).

Operations Plan

In order to bring Celestial Psychology® Enterprises to the corporate level of an LLC or B Corporation, appropriate forms will be filed with Secretary of the State. This will allow Celestial Psychology® Enterprises to grow the organization, hire employees rather than independent contractors, and be seen as a viable entity to the outside community.

Within 6 months

  • Create legal structure for Celestial Psychology® Enterprises, by filing with the Secretary of the State of Connecticut. To date, research indicates Connecticut does not have the new B Corporation status. If it’s potentially on the horizon, begin the process of applying for that, as it best suits the nature of this socially conscious business. 
  • Hold six (6) 7-week spiritual empowerment classes, Level I for Spiritual Empowerment and Level II for 7 Weeks to Your Luminous Self. Three (3) of these classes are already scheduled and have participants enrolled.
  • Institute an ongoing psychotherapy group for relinquishing the egoic mind, created for Level I class participants.
  • Develop logos for both Celestial Psychology® Enterprises as well as for the theory of Celestial Psychology®. Completed 2011
  • Begin work on a book of Celestial Psychology® theory, (see above for current standing).
  • Choose which avenue is most efficient to get CEC certifications available for clinicians. Completed 2011- Workshops are now being offered for CEC for Social Workers, LPCs and LMFTs
  • Develop products (find local professional companies to work with) that foster consciousness-raising: PDF/audio/DVDs for education, meditation, and enjoyment. Create e-books, booklets, posters and original art to inspire and uplift the individual and society. Create contemporary, trendy promotional materials, like t-shirts, pens, jewelry, etc. Zazzle now has products available in CPs online store. 
  • Create an online store through which to sell products. Complete with one promotional product only and Zazzle now has products available in CPs online store

6 months to 1 year

  • Contract with professional media-production company, which will allow for the growth of promotional materials.
  • Continue to hold Level I and Level II classes. 
  • Develop and institute Level III class.
  • Begin research on how to bring Celestial Psychology® to the university level.
  • Proceed with getting CEC certifications for clinicians. Completed
  • Complete work on Celestial Psychology® book, have it ready for editing.

1 year to 5 years

  • Publish Celestial Psychology® book of theory.
  • Teach Celestial Psychology® at the university level.
  • Train psychotherapists to utilize and teach Celestial Psychology®.

Risk and Contingency Plans

For taking Celestial Psychology® Enterprises to a corporate level, whether as an LLC or a B Corporation

Risks: 

Within 6 months

  1. Currently there is a risk that funds from PHS, the chief funding source for CPE, CCSCR and TCHE might be unavailable to meet deadlines when needed. This could occur in the event of illness, or if interest, time, attention and enthusiasm are not regulated and balanced.
  2. Risk a significant financial loss or remaining at a break-even point only.

6 months to 1 year

  1. Risk not being able to procure outside funding, which could stop or impede mass production of professional products.
  2. Risk a significant financial loss or remaining at a break-even point only.
